medical word of the day: egophony

Another one for today! These do help me to remember the words I need to remember later, perhaps for tests, but certainly in real life!

egophony: increased resonance of voice sounds, with a high-pitched bleating quality, heard especially over lung tissue compressed by pleural effusion; or a peculiar broken quality of the voice sounds, like the bleating of a goat, heard over lung tissue in cases of pleurisy with effusion. adj. egophonic.
